If a Cub Scout has completed
the first grade (or is 8 years old) he may begin working on the achievements to earn
his Wolf Badge. The Wolf Program is intended to help to guide the boys down a path of
responsibility, while having fun, learning about themselves and the world around them and
gaining personal achievement. |
| The first achievement the Cub Scout must earn, regardless of
when he enters the Cub Scout Program, is the Bobcat Badge.
|

|
In Tiger Cubs the boys met twice a month and worked with their adult partner on a
"Big Idea". In Wolves, and the remaining Cub Scout programs, the boys meet
weekly with other Cub Scouts and the Den Leaders. The Wolf Cubs work on twelve
achievements to earn their Wolf Badge:
 |
Feats of Skill |
 |
Your Flag |
 |
Keep Your Body Healthy |
 |
Know Your Home and Community |
 |
Tools for Fixing and Building |
 |
Start a Collection |
 |
Your Living World |
 |
Cooking and Eating |
 |
Be Safe at Home and on the Street |
 |
Family Fun |
 |
Duty to God |
 |
Making Choices |
The work for these achievements is completed both at the Den meeting and at home with
the help of the Cub Scout's family. Upon completion of the twelve achievements, the
Cub Scout is awarded the Wolf Badge and may continue to work on any of the remaining Wolf
projects, that qualify as electives, until he becomes a Bear Cub. When a boy completes ten
electives he receives a Gold Arrow Point. For each additional ten electives he
receives a Silver Arrow Point.
Wolf Cubs BSA follows a school-year cycle. Boys remain in the Wolf Cub program until
they complete second grade. At that time, they graduate into a Bear Cub den.

Leaders & Meetings
In the Wolf Cub Program each Den will consist of about 8-10 Cub Scouts with a minimum
of 2 adult leaders. The meetings will be held weekly with the leaders coordinating
the times and locations.
Uniforms, Supplies & Registration Cost
Both the Wolf and Bear Cub uniform is a blue long or short sleeve shirt, neckerchief
(yellow for Wolf, blue for Bear) and slide. The blue Cub Scout pants, belt and Cub

Each Den will set up dues, normally less that $2 for each meeting that will offset the
cost of supplies for the den meetings.
The registration fee for Wolf Cubs is $13 and includes the Wolf Cub Program Book.
An optional one-year subscription to Boys' Life Magazine, the
